In the case of new combinations of known substances that have been investigated in accordance with the provisions of this Directive, the chronic long-term tests may, except where acute and sub-acute toxicity tests have demonstrated potentiation or novel toxic effects, be suitably modified by the investigator who shall submit his reasons for such modification.
Dans le cas d'associations nouvelles de substances déjà connues et étudiées selon les dispositions de la présente directive, les essais chroniques à long terme peuvent, sur justification par l'expérimentateur, être simplifiés d'une manière adéquate, sauf dans le cas où l'examen des toxicités aiguë et subaiguë a révélé des phénomènes de potentialisation ou des effets toxiques nouveaux.
