As far as joint operations are concerned, FRONTEX should look into the feasibility of continuously carrying out control and surveillance operations at the southern maritime external borders in particular during the period from spring till late autumn 2007, thus covering the season during which most illegal immigrants attempt to come by boat to the European Union from Africa.

En ce qui concerne les opérations conjointes, FRONTEX devrait examiner la possibilité d' opérations de contrôle et de surveillance permanentes à la frontière extérieure maritime méridionale, en particulier pendant la période s’étendant du printemps à la fin de l'automne 2007, c'est-à-dire la saison pendant laquelle la plupart des immigrants clandestins tentent de gagner par bateau les côtes de l'Union européennes à partir de l'Afrique.
