With this in mind, your chairman and rapporteur would like to take this opportunity to call very humbly on the Member States, pending entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, to give serious consideration to the option available under Article 42 TEU, which beyond a shadow of doubt would enable stumbling blocks of this kind to be avoided.
Face à ce constat, votre Président rapporteur saisit l'opportunité de cet exposé des motifs pour se permettre très humblement d'inviter les Etats membres, en attendant l'entrée en vigueur du Traité de Lisbonne, de prendre en sérieuse considération l'option offerte par l'article 42 du TUE, qui permettrait sans nul doute d'éviter ce genre d'écueil.
