In other words, to add something like “to recognize Canada's rich and ongoing aboriginal traditions and aboriginal connection to place” is a much more explicit recognition of what is a growing role by first nations people in the whole natural heritage and cultural heritage field.
Autrement dit, on ajouterait quelque chose comme «de reconnaître les riches traditions autochtones du Canada et leurs références géographiques, des traditions qui se poursuivent aujourd'hui». On reconnaîtrait ainsi explicitement, et beaucoup mieux, ce rôle croissant qu'ont les Premières nations dans notre patrimoine naturel et culturel.
