According to the findings of environmental studies, KFOR troops - including 90 Greeks - stationed on the border between Kosovo and FYROM are directly exposed to atmospheric pollution from the cement factory of Kosova Shar. This factory discharges into the atmosphere huge amounts - exceeding the maximum permissible limits - of asbestos and certain metals such as chromium, copper, magnesium, manganese, nickel, zinc, cobalt, etc.
