A biotope favourable to waters and shore birds will be maintained by cutting down rushes. Hence the importance of continuing the production of "Gol" chairs on a craft- industry basis; - management of the Etang du Gol as an extensive fish-farming system in line with the findings of the study entrusted to IFREMER on the potential for developing fish farming in the area; - re-afforestation of the coastal belt as a means of protection.
