The aid is extended to most agricultural products of the region, whether they are normal Community products found elsewhere in the Community (milk, meat, cereals, etc.) or products specific to the northern areas (reindeer, Finnish horses, etc.). In addition, in the northernmost areas aid is provided for transporting milk and meat to its first collection point, to offset the transport costs inherent in the widely scattered location of farms in these areas.
Les aides nordiques concernent la plupart des productions agricoles de cette zone, qu'il s'agisse de productions habituelles dans la Communautés (lait, viandes, céréales, etc.) ou spécifiques des régions nordiques (rennes, chevaux finlandais, etc.) S'y ajoutent, dans les zones les plus au nord, des aides au transport du lait et de la viande vers le premier point de collecte, de manière à compenser les coûts de transport inhérents à la très grande dispersion des exploitations dans ces régions.
