It has never been clear to us on this side of the House whether it is the Liberal view that Canada should always look the other way or that Canada should align itself with those whose belief, when faced with lawlessness, is that it is always better to wait and talk and, when faced with real trouble, stick one's head in the sand.
De ce côté-ci de la Chambre, nous n'avons jamais trop compris si, de l'avis des libéraux, il vaut toujours mieux détourner le regard, si le Canada devrait se ranger dans le camp de ceux qui, face à l'illégalité, préconisent l'attente et les pourparlers et qui, face à de véritables difficultés, s'enfoncent la tête dans le sable.
