(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), elevator pits and conveyor trenches may be installed in the floor of a storage facility if molten ammonium nitrate is prevented from flowing into them by curbs or other construction features acceptable to the Commission, or there are extenuating circumstances that, in the opinion of the Commission, justify or minimize the hazard of an opening in the floor.
(2) Nonobstant le paragraphe (1), des puits d’ascenseur et des tranchées de tapis roulant pourront être ménagés dans le plancher d’une installation d’emmagasinage si des rebords ou autres particularités de construction acceptables par la Commission empêchent le nitrate d’ammonium fondu d’y couler, ou s’il existe des circonstances atténuantes qui, de l’avis de la Commission, justifient la présence d’une ouverture dans le plancher ou en minimisent le danger.
