In 2006, my team of researchers published a study in The roman; Lancet, a journal in the United Kingdom, which showed a woman from Ontario who was taking a prescribed narcotic after childbirth for pain related to her delivery actually breastfed her child to death as a result of a duplication of a gene that converted the narcotic into a more active form.
