Puisque je connais bien la Colombie-Britannique et peu la côte atlantique, je vais me concentrer sur la côte Ouest. Actuellement, la Colombie-Britannique compte 52 forts sur la côte, allant de chez moi, dans l'île de Saturne à l'intersection du détroit de Juan de Fuca qui sépare et les États-Unis, et du détroit de Georgia qui coule entre le continent et l'île de Vancouver, jusqu'à Green Island, au nord de Prince Rupert, près de la frontière internationale avec l'Alaska.
