These events, substantial in scale and scope, should strike a significant chord with the people of Europe and help to increase their sense of belonging to the same community as well as making them aware of the cultural diversity of the Member States, as well as intercultural and international dialogue.

Canada has made itself the champion of international cultural diversity; it must now find ways to apply it at the national level and support that diversity.

Witnesses called for access to culturally appropriate health care and services that recognize the internal cultural diversity, even within each group.
