We intend to give leadership to this process and in this context we will explore the desirability and appropriateness of negotiating modalities, addressing the question of how negotiations should be conducted, including consideration of "single undertaking" and other approaches suited to the new economy to ensure that an open global trading system moves as fast as the marketplace.
Nous entendons jouer un rôle directeur dans ce processus et, à cet égard, nous chercherons à déterminer si les modalités de négociation sont appropriées et répondent à nos souhaits, en examinant la façon dont ces négociations devraient être menées, eu égard notamment à "l'engagement unique" et à la question de savoir si l'on doit envisager d'autres approches adaptées à la nouvelle économie pour faire en sorte que le système commercial mondial ouvert reste en phase avec l'évolution des marchés.
