Stresses the need for the ‘single undertaking’ principle to be upheld in the WTO's DDA negotiations; points out that, for some time now, there has been a tendency for the negotiations to focus on a limited range of negotiating areas, including agriculture, in which the EU has major defensive interests, with relatively less progress being made in other negotiating areas, and this is threatening to undermine the EU's negotiating position; points out, in addition, that this is making it difficult to take stock of the Round as a whole;
22. attire l'attention sur la nécessité de respecter le principe de l'engagement unique dans les négociations de l'OMC sur le PDD; relève que, depuis un certain temps, les négociations se concentrent sur un nombre restreint de domaines, dont l'agriculture, où l'Union a d'importants intérêts défensifs, des progrès relativement plus faibles étant réalisés dans les autres domaines, ce qui risque d'affaiblir la position de négociation de l'Union; estime en outre que cela rend plus difficile la possibilité d'établir un bilan de l'ensemble du cycle de négociations;
