Cette communication est accompagnée par : - une proposition de décision du Conseil qui définit le réseau d'axes ferroviaires et fluviaux et énumère les actions prioritaires pour le développement du réseau ferroviaire (mise au gabarit des voies ferrées, équipement des terminaux et mise en service de matériels roulants), - une proposition d'extension jusqu'en 1995 et de modification du règlement (1107/70) autorisant les aides aux investissements dans le transport combiné, - une proposition de modification de la directive (75/130) concernant l'établissement de règles communes sur le transport combiné afin d'y inclure les liaisons maritimes.
