Before commencing an approach to land, the commander must satisfy himself that, according to the information available to him, the weather at the aerodrome and the condition of the runway intended to be used should not prevent a safe approach, landing or missed approach, having regard to the performance information contained in the Operations Manual.
Avant de débuter une approche en vue de l'atterrissage, le commandant de bord doit s'assurer que, compte tenu des informations dont il dispose, les conditions météorologiques régnant sur l'aérodrome et l'état de la piste qu'il est envisagé d'utiliser n'empêchent d'effectuer une approche, un atterrissage ou une approche interrompue en sécurité, eu égard aux informations sur les performances contenues dans le manuel d'exploitation.
