In the event of an emergency or the development of unforeseen circumstances threatening the activities of the Fund with respect to the Special Drawing Rights Department, the Executive Board, by an eighty-five percent majority of the total voting power, may suspend for a period of not more than one year the operation of any of the provisions relating to operations and transactions in special drawing rights, and the provisions of Article XXVII, Section 1(b), (c), and (d) shall then apply.
En cas de circonstances graves ou imprévues de nature à compromettre les activités du Fonds en ce qui concerne le Département des droits de tirage spéciaux, le Conseil d’administration pourra, à la majorité de quatre-vingt-cinq pour cent du nombre total des voix attribuées, suspendre pour un an au plus l’application de toute disposition relative aux opérations et transactions sur droits de tirage spéciaux et les dispositions de la section 1, paragraphes b), c) et d), de l’article XXVII seront alors applicables.
