8. Calls on the Member States and the Council to take the lead in working – through the UN or through a 'coalition of the willing' – towards an international treaty establishing a ban on the development, production, stockpiling, transfer, testing and use of uranium weapons as well as the destruction or recycling of existing stocks, should there be conclusive scientific evidence of harm caused by such weapons;
8. demande aux États membres et au Conseil de jouer un rôle moteur dans l'élaboration d'un traité international – par le canal des Nations unies ou d'une coalition de bonnes volontés – sur l'interdiction de la mise au point, de la fabrication, du stockage, de la diffusion, des essais et de l'emploi d'armes contenant de l'uranium, ainsi que sur la destruction ou le recyclage des stocks existants, dans l'hypothèse où il y aurait des preuves scientifiques irréfutables de la dangerosité de ces armes;
