Le Comité a appris qu’un grand organisme international de certification biologique, le Marine Stewardship Council, élaborait des normes pour les produits de la mer. Il s’est aussi fait dire que l’Alaska, qui ne permet pas l’aquaculture en cages dans le milieu marin, prenait des dispositions pour faire classer comme biologique le saumon sauvage d’Alaska.
