La boisson peut être dénommée "gin distillé" si le produit est obtenu exclusivement par redistillation d'un alcool éthylique d'origine agricole de qualité appropriée ayant les caractères organoleptiques voulus et titrant, au départ, au moins 96 % vol dans les alambics utilisés traditionnellement pour le gin, en présence de baies de genièvre et d'autres produits végétaux naturels, le goût de genièvre devant être prépondérant.
The drink may be called "distilled gin" if it is produced solely by redistilling organoleptically suitable ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin of an appropriate quality with an initial alcoholic strength of at least 96 % vol in stills traditionally used for gin, in the presence of juniper berries and of other natural botanicals provided that the juniper taste is predominant.
