Going through all that process in the town halls, the meetings, in the interplay of what the judiciary has said, I've come to the conclusion that marriage here in Canada ought to remain as man, woman, to the exclusion of others.

In conclusion, Mr. Chairman, we come here before you to urge this committee and all parliamentarians to reject any proposed changes to the laws concerning marriage that would allow for any definition other than the traditional one of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others.

I think the message that we hear and the conclusion that they draw, especially in that expertise range—which is crucial to the armed forces not to just keep them going, but to train all the new recruits—is whether they should stay with an organization that doesn't really care for their future.
