Le Conseil a déclaré qu'il appuyait sans réserve la réalisation de ces objectifs tels qu'ils sont sanctionnés dans la résolution – la formation d'un gouvernement intérimaire souverain avec la contribution importante des Nations Unies, la fin de l'occupation d'ici le 30 juin, le rétablissement de la pleine souveraineté de l'Iraq, le calendrier proposé pour la transition politique vers un gouvernement démocratique, le rôle des Nations Unies et le consentement à la présence d'une force multinationale.
2. The Council expressed its full support for the achievement of these goals as endorsed in the Resolution - the formation of a sovereign interim government with the important contribution of the UN, the ending of occupation by 30 June, the reassertion by Iraq of its full sovereignty, the proposed timetable for political transition to democratic government, the role of the UN and the authorisation for a multinational force.
