Au travers d'un comite de suivi constitue dans chaque region, ou seront representees les autorites regionales les plus concernees et les differents acteurs economiques et sociaux ayant participe a la preparation des PIM, ainsi que la Communaute, la realisation concrete de projets et programmes, des ouvrages essentiels sera minutieusement scrutee. Pour en tirer des lecons d'abord sur ce qui est utile et sur ce qui l'est moins, pour accelerer la convergence des differents financements afin qu'ils viennent au moment ou ils sont utiles aux promoteurs, enfin pour preparer l'avenir, c'est-a-dire la seconde tranche des PIM apres 1988.
In each region, a Monitoring Committee, comprising representatives of the regional authorities most directly concerned, representatives of the various economic and social groupings that took part in the preparation of the IMPs, and Community representatives, will keep under close scrutiny the practical implementation of projects, programmes and essential works in order, first, to decide on how convergence of the different sources of financing could usefully be speeded up so that they can be tapped by promoters at the appropriate time and, second, to prepare for the future, i.e. for the second set of IMPs covering the period after 1988.
