6. en appelle au président chinois Hu Jintao afin qu'il démontre qu'il tient à honorer sa déclaration du 6 mars 2008 selon laquelle "la stabilité du Tibet concerne la stabilité du pays de même que la sécurité du Tibet concerne la sécurité du pays" et demande avec insistance que les dirigeants chinois garantissent le bien-être des Tibétains et préservent l'harmonie et la stabilité sociales, en invitant la commission permanente du Congrès du peuple de la Région autonome du Tibet à annuler sa décision de commémorer le 28 mars 2009 comme "Journée d'émancipation des serfs";
6. Calls on the Chinese President, Hu Jintao, to demonstrate his commitment to his statement of 6 March 2008 that 'stability in Tibet concerns the stability of the country, and safety in Tibet concerns the safety of the country', and insists that the Chinese leadership must ensure the wellbeing of the Tibetan people and must maintain social harmony and stability by instructing the Standing Committee of the Regional People's Congress of the Tibet Autonomous Region to cancel its decision to commemorate 28 March as 'Serfs' Emancipation Day';
