S'appuyant sur l'article 93, paragraphe 1 du traité de Rome, la Commission informe les Etats membres qu'elle continuera à considérer favorablement toute aide sectorielle, à finalité régionale ou générale ayant pour effet d'accroître la capacité de production nette des entreprises de l'industrie des fibres synthétiques (qui, à cet effet, est définie comme comprenant la production de tous les fils et fibres d'acrylique, de polyester, de polypropylène et de polyamide ainsi que leur texturisation, quel que soit le type ou la nature du produit et son utilisation finale).
On the basis of Article 93.1 of the Treaty of Rome, the Commission is informing Member States that it will continue to view with disfavour any aids, whether industrial, regional or general, which have the effect of increasing individual firms' net production capacity in the synthetic fibres industry (which for this purpose is defined as including the production of all acrylic, polyester, polypropylene and polyamide fibres and yarns and the texturisation of these yarns, regardless of the nature or type of product or end use).
