Depuis lors, il a été question d'identifier le danger, surtout au moyen d'inspections internes, pour vérifier s'il y avait des défectuosités dans le métal ou le tuyau et pour intervenir et retirer ou réparer le revêtement au fur et à mesure, selon les indications des appareils d'inspection interne.
