To me, such an argument does not stand up to the fundamental democratic principle, as stated by the Supreme Court, that the " Constitution is the expression of the Sovereignty of the people of Canada.it lies within the power of the people of Canada to effect whatever constitutional arrangements are desired within Canadian territory." . The argument that it would be difficult is insufficient reason for abandoning the democratic principle that we have cherished since before we were a country.
