(8) S’il n’est pas prévu que la manoeuvre d’une porte étanche à glissières doit être réalisée par une source d’énergie, cette porte sera pourvue d’une commande à main efficace, manoeuvrée par un mouvement de manivelle à rotation continue, tant de la porte même que d’un point accessible au-dessus du pont de cloisonnement.
(8) Where a sliding watertight door is not required to be operated by power, it shall be provided with efficient hand-operating gear with an all-round crank motion, both at the door itself and at an accessible position above the bulkhead deck.
