16. invite la Commission à revoir sa stratégie d'audit et à réorganiser les structures et le personnel d'audit existants et, compte tenu, notamment, des éventuelles contraintes budgétaires, à envisager, pour la gestion financière des ressources des FED en général, de coopérer plus étroitement avec des experts nationaux des administrations des États membres et, pour l'exécution des programmes et des projets individuels, de recourir davantage à des entreprises privées, de très bonne réputation, des États membres;
16. Calls upon the Commission to review its audit strategy and to reorganise existing audit structures and staff and, not least in view of the possible resource constraints, to consider closer cooperation with national experts from the Member States' administrations in the financial management of EDF funds in general and the extended use of well known and highly reputable private enterprises from the Member States in the execution of programmes and individual projects;
