...[+++]ormalmente i detenuti oppure di liberarli nel rispetto del diritto internazionale; si compiace che nel maggio 2006, l'Albania sia diventato il primo paese a accogliere cinque Uighurs cinesi da Guantanamo, ma si rammarica che 13 Uighurs cinesi per il cui rilascio il governo degli Stati Uniti ha emesso un provvedimento rimangano a Guantanamo Bay in quanto il governo degli Stati Uniti ha concluso giustamente che essi non possono essere rinviati in Cina per paura che vengano torturati; invita il Consiglio, la Commissione e gli Stati membri a collaborare con il governo degli Stati Uniti per agevolare la sistemazione delle persone per i quali gli Stati Uniti hanno accertato che non rappresentano un pericolo né per loro né per i loro alleati ma che non possono essere rinviati nei rispettivi paesi per paura che vengano torturati; constata che la sola esistenza del centro di detenzione di Guantanamo continua ad inviare segnali negativi sul modo di condurre la lotta al terrorismo; 149. lease by t ...[+++]he United States Government remain in Guantánamo Bay as the United States Government has rightly concluded that they cannot be returned to China for fear of torture; calls on the Council, the Commission and Member States to work with the United States Government to facilitate the settlement of all those remaining individuals who the United States has concluded pose no threat to the United States or its allies but who cannot be returned to their home countries for fear of torture; is concerned that the very existence of the Guantánamo Bay detention centre continues to send out a negative signal as to how the fight against terrorism is being pursued;
