A tale riguardo il Consiglio ha raggiunto un accordo sul principio di richiedere il parere della CGCE sulla compatibilità con il trattato CE dell'accordo previsto, che dovrebbe essere concluso tra la Comunità, i suoi Stati membri e le altri parti contraenti della convenzione sul brevetto europeo .
In this regard, the Council agreed in principle to request the ECJ for an opinion on whether the envisaged Agreement, to be concluded between the Community, its Member states and other contracting parties to the European Patent Convention , is compatible with the EC Treaty.
