Because the existing Gdynia-Kosakowo (Gdynia-Oksywie) airfield was originally used exclusively for military purposes, the operator of the new airport is able to use the existing infrastructure (such as a runway of 2 500 meters, taxiways, an apron, navigation equipment etc.). The total cost of the investment in the conversion project is estimated at PLN 164,9 million (EUR 41,2 million (15)) in nominal terms and PLN 148,4 million (EUR 37,1 million) in real terms.
