(43) In line with the Commission Communication "The European Agenda
for Security"., in answer to the EU minister's Riga Joint Statement and to the Declaration from the Home Affairs Ministers of 29 August 2015, ,the proposal accompanying this report will aim to reinforce the existing legislative framework on firearms, to improve the sharing of information, to address trafficking and reactivation of weapons, to enhance standards for marking in view of better traceability, and, finally, it will consider how to address the issues related to convertibility of weapons or blank-f
iring weapons (i.e. alarm ...[+++] weapons).
43)Conformément à la communication de la Commission «Le programme européen en matière de sécurité», en réponse à la déclaration commune de Riga des ministres de l’Union et de la déclaration du 29 août 2015 des ministres de l’intérieur, la proposition jointe au présent rapport vise à renforcer le cadre législatif actuel régissant les armes à feu, à améliorer le partage des informations, à lutter contre le trafic et la réactivation des armes, à améliorer les normes de marquage pour accroître la traçabilité, et, enfin, à remédier au problème de convertibilité des armes ou des armes à blanc (d’alarme par exemple).
