A sad note perhaps in closing, I mentioned that my father introduced me to the culture of duck hunting in Grand Lake, New Brunswick, where we would get up at an ungodly hour of three or four in the morning and go down to the Coys Gut Landing out on the waters into the blinds with his best friend from nearby Douglas Harbour.
Pour finir sur une note un peu plus triste, j'ai mentionné que mon père m'a initié à la chasse au canard à Grand Lake, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Nous nous levions à des heures impossibles, du genre trois ou quatre heures du matin, pour aller au débarcadère de Coys Gut et partir sur l'eau, encore plongée dans la nuit, avec son meilleur ami qui habitait à Douglas Harbour.
