(11) It is appropriate to seek conciliation between the principle of protection of human dignity and free speech through the adoption by the Members States of a cross-media approach explicitly aimed at encouraging the audiovisual and information services industry in general to avoid and to combat any type of discrimination based on sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation.
(11) Il est approprié de rechercher la conciliation entre le principe de protection de la dignité humaine et la liberté d’expression à travers l’adoption par les États membres d’une approche transversale des médias visant explicitement à encourager l’industrie des services audiovisuels et d'information en général à éviter et à combattre toute discrimination basée sur le sexe, la race ou l’origine ethnique, la religion ou les convictions, un handicap, l’âge ou l’orientation sexuelle.
