During my parliamentary consultations to date on the package of six legislative proposals on the economy, the six-pack, I have frequently heard the criticism that the Member States, by which we should understand the Council, and the European Council, while bearing in mind financial macro-stability, neglect encouraging growth and the recovery of the real economy from the crisis, or, if they do not, they only attribute soft, unaccountable tools to these latter objectives, and that the content of the Europe 2020 strategy is mainly limited to this.
À l’occasion de mes consultations parlementaires consacrées au paquet de six propositions législatives sur l’économie, ou «six-pack», j’ai souvent entendu la même critique, à savoir que les États membres, c’est à dire le Conseil, et le Conseil européen, tout en surveillant la stabilité financière au niveau macroéconomique, ne font pas grand chose pour encourager la croissance et la sortie de crise de l’économie réelle et que s’ils font quelque chose, ils n’emploient que des outils non contraignants, et que c’est là tout le contenu de la stratégie Europe 2020.
