According to the eNewsletter Hands off Cain, No 107 of 6 June, Leandro Despouy, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers, has reaffirmed the UN’s belief that the Iraqi authorities' execution of Awraz Abdel Aziz Mahmoud Sa’eed for carrying out the attack on the UN headquarters in Baghdad in August 2003 – which killed, amongst others, Sérgio Vieira de Mello, UN Special Representative for Iraq – prevented the international community from learning who the real perpetrators of the crime had been.
Selon la eNewsletter Hands off Cain n° 107 du 6 juin, Leandro Despouy, rapporteur spécial des Nations unies sur l'indépendance des juges et des avocats, a réaffirmé la conviction des Nations unies selon laquelle l'exécution par les autorités irakiennes d'Awraz Abdel Aziz Mahmoud Saeed, auteur matériel de l'attentat contre le siège des Nations unies à Bagdad d'août 2003, qui a notamment coûté la vie à Sérgio Vieira de Mello, représentant spécial des Nations unies pour l'Irak, a empêché la communauté internationale de savoir qui étaient les responsables réels de cet attentat.
