Mr. Speaker, one thing that has been very concerning since the Conservative majority came to power is the realization that our parliamentary system, which is built on the Westminster model, has always been based on a sense of understanding of the greater role of parliamentarians and that there is a lesser role for the crass partisan attack message box politics.
Monsieur le Président, un élément très préoccupant est ressorti depuis l'arrivée au pouvoir du gouvernement conservateur majoritaire. Nous nous sommes aperçus que notre système parlementaire, qui s'inspire du modèle de Westminster, a toujours privilégié le rôle des parlementaires, non les messages partisans préfabriqués.
