The euro has entered into circulation without problems and was extremely well received, the European Council has decisively resumed the process of economic and social modernisation of Europe, the Union has played an important political role in the world and, finally, we have faced the problems arising from illegal immigration and succeeded in responding firmly to the threat of terrorism.
La mise en circulation de l'euro s'est déroulée tout à fait normalement et a été parfaitement acceptée, le Conseil européen a repris, avec force, le processus de modernisation économique et sociale de l'Europe, l'Union européenne a rempli un rôle politique important dans le monde et, enfin, nous avons fait face aux problèmes de l'immigration illégale et nous avons su réagir fermement face à la menace du terrorisme.
