The Statutory Orders and Regulations Order, 1947, included the first provision for the publication in Part II of the Canada Gazette of “all proclamations, orders, rules and regulations of a legislative character or of an administrative character, having general effect or imposing a penalty”.
Le Décret de 1947 concernant les décrets, ordonnances et règlements statutaires renferme la première disposition prévoyant la publication dans la Partie II de la Gazette du Canada des « proclamations, décrets, ordonnances, règles et règlements d’un caractère législatif ou d’un caractère administratif ayant une portée générale ou imposant une sanction ».
