We have learned from past experience and are still learning, especially in the Balkans, that thanks to their historical experience, with all the many conflicts, thanks to their understanding of the subtle and at times tough nature of confrontations between communities, the Europeans can develop a savoir-faire and methods of conflict management that are worthy of it and worthy of respect.
Des expériences que nous avons faites, que nous poursuivons encore aujourd’hui, notamment dans les Balkans, nous démontrent que les Européens, par leur expérience historique, riche en conflits, par leur compréhension des subtilités et des duretés parfois, des confrontations entre communautés, peuvent développer un savoir-faire et des méthodes estimables, respectables, en matière de traitement des conflits.
