Ainsi, j’ai aussi, il y a de cela de longs mois, rencontré toute une après-midi, chez lui, M. Tshisekedi, pour l’exhorter à demander à ses partisans de s’enregistrer et pour l’exhorter même à user de son droit à être candidat puisque je considérais, et je considère toujours, que M. Tshisekedi est un homme d’expérience qui connaît bien le Congo, un homme qui avait un programme qu’il aurait pu exposer pour nourrir le débat politique.
Thus, several months ago I also spent a whole afternoon in the house of Mr Tshisekedi, urging him to get his supporters to register and even urging him to make use of his right to be a candidate because I thought, and I still think, that Mr Tshisekedi is a man of experience who knows the Congo well, a man with a programme that could have been revealed in order to improve the political debate.
