En règle générale, je suis favorable au principe voulant qu'il faille s'adresser aux tribunaux et que les règles de justice naturelle s'appliquent, comme la possibilité d'être entendu, d'être représenté par un avocat, etc., mais n'y a-t-il pas certaines circonstances où il peut être plus rapide et rassurant que la ministre ait la possibilité de révoquer la citoyenneté?
Generally speaking, I am in favour of the principle requiring referral to the courts, along with the imposition of the rules of natural justice, such as the right to a hearing, to be represented by a lawyer, etc., but are there not certain circumstances in which it might be faster and more reassuring to know that the Minister had discretion to revoke citizenship?
