Reaffirms the validity of the principles underlying the 'television without frontiers' directive (Directive 85/552/EC) including free movement of European television broadcasts, free access to important events, promotion of independent European and recently produced works, protection of minors and public order, protection of consumers through clearly recognisable and transparent advertising and the right of reply.
