– (DE) Signor Presidente, a livello di Unione siamo da tempo impegnati a riequilibrare il rapporto tra strada e rotaia, con normative che disciplinano il trattamento dei camionisti e del personale dei treni conformemente al diritto in materia di sicurezza sociale e lavoro, con iniezioni di sovvenzioni e finanziamenti a favore del traffico ferroviario, pedaggi e altri oneri a carico del traffico pesante su strada e, infine, ultimo aspetto ma non per questo meno importante, con normative tecniche sull’intermodalità e l’interoperabilità.
– (DE) Mr President, we, in the EU, have for a long time been working to balance the relationship between road and rail, with regulations on the treatment of HGV drivers and train crew under social security and labour law, with injections of support and finance for rail traffic, with tolls and other levies for heavy road traffic, and, last but not least, with technical regulations on intermodality and interoperability.
