Dedicated financing instruments and market incentives will support the construction of production plants for aviation and other advanced biofuels, with the aim to attain the target of two million tonnes of sustainable biofuels by 2020 for civil aviation in the Union, as set out by the European Advanced Biofuels Flightpath launched by the Commission in 2011[37], together with major airlines, aircraft manufacturers and biofuel producers.
