In order to facilitate the Commission's re-examination whether the block exemption should be further extended after that date, an obligation should be added to the exemption, requiring air carriers participating in conferences to collect, for each IATA season and starting as from 1 September 2002, data on the relative use of the passenger tariffs set in the conferences and their relative importance for actual interlining.
Toutefois, afin de permettre à la Commission de déterminer avec plus de facilité s'il convient de proroger l'exemption par catégorie au-delà de cette date, il y a lieu d'ajouter à cette exemption l'obligation, pour les transporteurs aériens participant aux conférences, de collecter, pour chaque saison IATA et à partir du 1er septembre 2002, des données portant sur l'utilisation relative des tarifs passagers fixés lors de ces conférences et sur leur importance relative pour les services interlignes proprement dits.
