Il a séduit de nombreux pays fondateurs des institutions nordiques, raison pour laquelle nous visons à présent dans ce rapport à donner un certain sens aux contradictions et contretemps de l’histoire, en intégrant la Norvège et l’Islande dans l’espace Schengen, et plus particulièrement, comme c’est le cas de l’initiative suédoise, dans un espace de liberté, de sécurité et de justice de l’Union européenne.
It has proved to be attractive to many of the founders of the Nordic institutions and, for that very reason, our report attempts to make sense of the contradictions and the chance events of history, by integrating Norway and Iceland into the Schengen area and, most importantly, in the case of the Swedish initiative, into the European Union’s area of freedom, security and justice.
