Toutefois, le rapport et, par conséquent, la résolution contient un appel clair à la communautarisation de la PESD (paragraphe 9), avec lequel je ne suis pas d’accord, tout comme je considère inadaptée une certaine critique exacerbée contre la politique étrangère des USA, qui ne contribue pas au climat de confiance nécessaire au règlement des questions ouvertes, ni au renforcement du patrimoine commun indiscutable, qui unit et doit continuer d’unir l’Europe et les USA.
Nevertheless, this report, and thus the resolution contained in it, make a clear appeal for the communitarisation of the ESDP, as in Paragraph 9 of the resolution. I do not agree with that, and I consider that the criticism of the foreign policy of the United States is inappropriate. This criticism does not contribute to the climate of confidence needed to resolve these questions openly, nor to reinforcing the indisputable common heritage that unites and should continue to unite Europe and the United States.
