76) «motore a combustione esterna»: motore termico in cui la camera di combustione e la camera di espansione sono fisicamente separate e dove un fluido interno di lavoro viene riscaldato per combustione da una fonte esterna; il calore della combustione esterna espande il fluido di lavoro interno che poi, espandendosi e agendo sul meccanismo del motore, produce movimento e lavoro utile;
‘external combustion engine’ means a heat engine in which combustion and expansion chambers are physically separated and where an internal working fluid is heated by combustion in an external source; heat from the external combustion expands the internal working fluid which then, by expanding and acting on the mechanism of the engine, produces motion and usable work;
